It occurred to us recently just how spoiled we are, getting to see all of the amazing projects that you knitters bring into the shop on a daily basis. So- we thought it was high time we asked you guys to do a little online 'Show and Tell'!
Email us a photo of your latest finished project from Mary's Yarns, and we may post it on our site under the Photo Gallery' tab sometime soon.. Be sure to include all the important info like what yarn and pattern you used.
We can't wait to see (and share) what you've knit!
While we no longer stock this yarn, who could resist a baby picture!!! AH! Here is a photo of Kathleen's adorable daughter wearing one of her creations out of King Cole Waves. Too cute for words! (See the ribbon!?!?! I'm dying here!)
Pattern? Bitty Bump by Gina Bonomo
Yarn? 2 balls of King Cole Waves
Needles? 10 mm- this means FAST knitting

Our buddy Usha has not only been knitting up a storm lately, but weaving too! Here is a fine example of some of her handy-weaving-work. (Who says all we do is knit anyway!?!?!?)
Woven out of our best selling baby yarn Snuggly DK, this blanket feels as soft as... well, I'm going to say it- a baby's bottom.

Usha knit this adorable baby set for some good friends of hers that are either proud Canadians, or big fans of The Leafs (I can't recall which). Either way... what a generous gift this makes!
Yarn- Baby Bamboo by Sirdar (a really nice- and washable!- DK weight bamboo/ wool blend)
Pattern- Blanket is from Sirdar's Baby Blanket book
Sweater- I'm not entirely sure... I'll find out for you!

Claudia knit these amaaaazing cabled socks out of some Shibui Sock. Beautiful as they are however, do you notice anything about them? I'll let you know what went down in her words.
"The full-pair picture demonstrates what happens when I knit while watching a good movie (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in this case). I finished the cable pattern repeat and decided that this meant I could now start the toe, without checking to see whether I needed another full repeat. Yes, I finished the whole toe including grafting and sewing in the end before realizing what I had done. (The second sock has now been corrected.)"

No worries Claudia. You wouldn't be a 'real' knitter if you didn't have a few 'flubs' like this in your very own personal knitting history. They're beautiful either way. :)
Yarn- Shibui Socks
Pattern- Paraphernalia (pattern available through Ravelry)
Gail knit these beautiful Norwegian style mittens out of some Sandnesgarn Smart (a wonderful DK weight superwash wool that we loooove). The pattern is a free one online and can be found here.
I hope she doesn't plan on gifting these puppies. They belong on her own hands!

Gail knit up this beautiful cabled sweater out of some tried and true Cascade 220. The pattern? A free one from Drops! Click here to access it. The needles? 4mm.
What a flattering cut that you could easily dress up- or down!

Oh Garnstudio... how we love thee.
Anna bought the Crocheted Chevron Baby Blanket Kit from the shop, but substituted a few of the shades to get a brighter finished effect. Oh how cute it is! It's always fun to see the same project worked in different colours. The only other thing different about hers? It's not for a baby! It's for the couch in the family room! Her family has been cozying up under it already.
Yarn- 10 balls of Mandarin Petite
Hook- 3 mm

Pat knit up this adorable little baby sweater out of some King Cole Big Value DK using a Sirdar pattern. So cute! What a great baby gift- this yarn can't be hurt. There will be no sad phone call saying that they 'shrunk the baby sweater'. SO not funny when that happens.
She even had enough to do a little hat too! Bonus!
Yarn- King Cole Big Value DK
Pattern- From the Sirdar 'Sweet Peas' book
